It smelled like spices and fruit upon opening. When poured there was a distinct sensation of alcohol. When tasted it turned to be balanced yet spicy with a hint of acidity. Noticeable alcohol, yet not too much.
After decanting it turned smooth, yet full; retaining the sense of spice, together with an undertone of fruit, with some of the alcohol evaporating.

The wine is a blend of Monastrell, Tempranillo, Syrah and Garnacha Tintorera grapes. The region is Castilla-La Mancha, the municipality of Almansa.
It paired well with filled chicken filets and was very nice with a Brie cheese, where it both complemented and accented the cheese.
Nice, would drink again.
